George School Welcomes New Director of Marketing and Communications Tricia O’Neill

George School is excited to announce that after a national search, Patricia (Tricia) O’Neill will join the community this summer as the new Director of Marketing and Communications.

Tricia comes to George School from The Peddie School, where she was a member of the Marketing and Communications team for 14 years, most recently serving as Assistant Director for Web Strategy and Communications. She also served as a student advisor and dorm supervisor.

“With her rare combination of professional expertise and experiences living on a boarding school campus and working with students, as well as her eagerness to learn about George School and immerse herself in our community, Tricia is a superb fit for her new role with us, which includes telling George School’s story to our many audiences,” said Head of School Sam Houser. “I feel very fortunate that she is as excited about coming to George School as we are to be working with her.”

Tricia graduated from the University of Scranton with an English degree and previously worked as a teacher, social worker, and editor in the fields of healthcare and education. She and her husband Michael are parents of six boys, ages 18-27. An avid reader, active walker, and emerging gardener, Tricia enjoys spending free time with friends and family, preferably outdoors.

“From the moment I stepped foot on the beautiful George School campus,” said Tricia, “I recognized what a tremendous opportunity it would be to share in telling this community’s wonderful story. I am grateful to be so warmly welcomed by Sam, to join such a dynamic team of dedicated educators and colleagues, and to work with them toward fulfilling the strategic, mission-centered goals of the school.”
