Intellectual Growth, Curiosity, and Character Development

I’ve enjoyed making memories with my peers during my years at George School. From having water balloon fights during Student Council Weekend and having picnics on South Lawn to performing at Live Music Weekend and singing in the community chorus. Though simplistic, these experiences have strengthened my love for our community and increased my appreciation of the work needed to maintain it.

I’ve taken many wonderful courses, ranging from Intensive Biology to IB Environmental Science and IB World Literature and AP Language and Composition. My favorite course thus far has been IB Global Politics, in which I studied human rights issues throughout the world and examined political theory. This course paired with my African American History seminar heightened my interests in politics and history, both of which I plan to continue studying in college. As I reflect on my past three and a half years at George School, I recognize that its impact on my intellectual growth, curiosity, and character development has been indelible.
