Leyna K. ’22

Langhorne, PennsylvaniaDay Student
Leyana is passionate about all things George School.

What is your favorite George School event or weekend and why?
My favorite school event is Student Council Weekend. There are so many fun events like a dunk tank, slip n slide, roasting marshmallows and singing around the fire, and so much more. I really feel like I am a part of the larger community of George School students.

What was one of your most interesting classes?
One of the most interesting classes I took at George School was in the Religions Department titled “Forgiveness, Justice, and Reconciliation.” We explored the different types of justice, and what it meant to us to pursue it. We also got to reflect on forgiveness as a concept and then apply it to our personal lives and experiences. This class allowed me to explore a topic that I am incredibly passionate about: The United States prison system and what we can do to fix it. Additionally, it gave me the tools to forgive people in my life that I would not have otherwise forgiven, but more importantly, to forgive myself for things I would not have forgiven otherwise.
