Mary and Gbenga Oladeji P ’21

“As a family, we value George School and its commitment to diversity. We also understand that not everyone has the ability to pay full tuition, which is why we designate our gift to support financial aid at George School.”

“George School provides more than strong academics. We were captivated by the inclusive learning environment which also teaches leadership and service,” said Gbenga Oladeji. His wife Mary, elaborated, “Akindele has grown tremendously. He has an open mindset, can articulate his thoughts and opinions, and has a worldview which he would not otherwise have had. Hosting international students during the holidays (during prior years) was a great experience for our family and it reinforced the global message of George School.”

When asked why they give to the Parents Fund, Gbenga and Mary explained, “as a family, we value George School and its commitment to diversity. We also understand that not everyone has the ability to pay full tuition which is why we designate our gift to support financial aid at George School. Giving to an organization we believe in brings us fulfillment and we want to enable students to have a better future. We look at life with a sense of gratitude and have embraced the American philosophy of philanthropy, giving to causes that matter most to us. Having students with diverse backgrounds is very important and is a step forward towards return on inclusion equity. We understand that families are differently resourced but when you give a gift, something meaningful comes from that.”
