George School Shares Back-to-School Plans

George School will open for in-person instruction in the fall, provided we are permitted to do so by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as I previously indicated. This includes bringing both boarding and day students to campus.

Pippa Porter Rex and Rachel Agosto Return to George School in New Roles

Pippa Porter Rex and Rachel Agosto will return to George school in new roles for the upcoming academic year. Pippa returns from her sabbatical this summer as the dean of students, taking over from Erin Sio. Rachel Agosto returns to George School as director of diversity, equity, and inclusion, building upon the work of Marcus Ingram.

Alumni Provide Fuel to Fight for Bucks County Healthcare Workers

Two George School graduates are half of the organizing team behind Fuel the Fight Bucks County, which is raising funds to purchase meals from local restaurants and provide them to workers in area hospitals. Danielle Tuller ’11, an MBA student who returned to Newtown from studying at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, and Mike Mirande ’11, a doctor of pharmacy student at Jefferson School of Pharmacy were inspired to support those hard hit by the COVID-19 crisis.

Lael Brainard ’79 Helps Lead Main Street Lending

The Federal Reserve’s new Main Street Lending Program is being shepherded by economist Lael Brainard ’79, a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. The program is designed to provide up to $600 billion in loans to small- and mid-size companies hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic.
