Honoring Retiring George School Faculty

During Alumni Weekend, May 3 to 5, 2019, the George School community is invited to say their goodbyes to this year’s retiring faculty. We will be honoring Terry Culleton, Ralph Lelii, and Paul Machemer ’65.

Dr. Philip McAdoo Engages Community

Dr. Philip MaAdoo addressed the George School community during assembly on Monday, April 29, 2019. As an LGBTQ activist, Philip has worked to combat homophobia in today’s society. As an openly gay educator, Philip specializes in character development from the perspective of diversity and inclusion.

Cougars Beat Abington Friends 2-1

The George School varsity baseball team defeated Abington Friends School 2-1 notching their first Friends Schools League win of the season on Thursday, April 25, 2019. Captain Kenneth Rodriguez ’19 was spectacular on the mound, recording seven strike outs and allowing no hits or walks.

George School Robotics Excels at Fire Fighting Competition

George School finished the competition having the number one robot entered from North America, ranked number four of all high school robots worldwide, and ranked in the top ten of all robots entered in the competition, including college and professional teams.

Holly Barnet-Sanchez ’65 Speaks at Assembly

Holly Barnet-Sanchez ’65 spoke to the George School community during assembly on Friday, April 19, 2019. She discussed how she came to be an historian of Chicano art, a movement that represents efforts by Mexican-American artists to establish a unique identity in the United States.

George School Cougars Best Perkiomen

The varsity boys’ lacrosse team defeated Perkiomen 15-4 on Thursday, April 18, 2019. The team was strong defensively, allowing only four goals. Cesar Arreguin ’20 tallied six saves in goal before leaving the game in the second quarter.
