Cougars Defeat Radnor 60-56

The George School varsity boys’ basketball team defeated Radnor High School 60-56 on Monday, December 30, 2019. Radnor is ranked tenth in Pennsylvania for 5A high schools.

Varsity Girls’ Basketball Wins Three

The varsity girls’ basketball team notched its third win on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, defeating The Hun School 62-50. The Cougars beat Lawrenceville 48-38 and Princeton Day School 51-12 to bring their season to 3-2.

George School Senior Wins Mini Maxwell Award

Bennett Lichstein ’20 has been selected to receive the Mini Max Award, which honors high school football players throughout the Delaware Valley. Players are nominated by their coach throughout the season and selected based on performance, academics, and community service.

Varsity Boys’ Swimming Defeats Hun

The George School varsity boys swimming team defeated The Hun School of Princeton 88-76 on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. The Cougarfish took charge of the meet with the 200 medley relay team of Sam Mottershead ’22, Francisco Correia ’20, Zach Bohrer ’21, and Manny Vinhais ’21 taking first place.

Track Shines at Ursinus High School Invitational

The indoor track season officially kicked off this past weekend and a number of talented Cougars on the varsity boys’ and varsity girls’ track teams had a great start to their season. Eleven boys and six girls set new personal records at one of the biggest meets of the week.

Noises Off Delights Audiences

Noises Off opened the George School theater season in November 2019. Michael Frayn’s hilarious comedy is set during the rehearsals, backstage during a performance, and then during a calamitous show. The play chronicles the hilarious escapades of a touring cast of a farcical fictitious play, Nothing On.
