Kaliyah Myricks ’21 Commits to Georgetown

Kaliyah Myricks ’21 committed to Georgetown University to play Division 1 Big East basketball for Women’s Basketball Head Coach James Howard. In her 2019-2020 season, Kaliyah averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists as a George School Cougar.

Twelve Seniors Commit to College Athletics

Twelve student athletes in nine different sports committed to college athletics next year. The students include Abby Eisold ’20, Dixie Hurst-Blair ’20, Emma Huttemann ’20, Eva Kinnel ’20, Joe Kuman ’20, Emily Matson ’20, Sara Matson ’20, Jordan Miller ’20, Isabella Robinson-Cloete ’20, Susan Robinson-Cloete ’20, Jack Vreesywk ’20, and Walter Wagude ’20.

Students Honored During Recognition Assembly

On Monday, May 18, George School students were honored with awards in recognition of their accomplishments at George School across academics, athletics, visual arts, performing arts, poetry, and community.

Abby Eisold ’20 Takes First at Indoor Pentathlon

Abby Eisold ’20 took first place, Neha Kotha ’22 took sixth, and Susanne Kowalska ’21 took eighth at the Purple Championship HS Invitational Indoor Pentathlon. The three varsity girls’ winter track members participated in 55-meter hurdles, long jump, shot put, high jump, and 800-meter run events.

Alexandra Long ’20 to Earn 12 Varsity Letters

When Alexandra Long ’20 was voted captain of the girls’ varsity basketball team four years ago, she was just a freshman. Her father, George Long, who coaches the team, was worried it would cause some angst among the team’s older players.

Ben Luber Leads Team to Winning Season

Coach Ben Luber joined the George School community just two months before leading the varsity boys’ basketball team to their first win. Since that time, the team has gone on to have a 10-5 record, including winning the last seven games.

Cougars Defeat Radnor 60-56

The George School varsity boys’ basketball team defeated Radnor High School 60-56 on Monday, December 30, 2019. Radnor is ranked tenth in Pennsylvania for 5A high schools.

Varsity Girls’ Basketball Wins Three

The varsity girls’ basketball team notched its third win on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, defeating The Hun School 62-50. The Cougars beat Lawrenceville 48-38 and Princeton Day School 51-12 to bring their season to 3-2.
