Steve Kulla ’81 Pens The Vanishing Dice Murder

Vanishing Dice Murder: Urban Crime in Rural Pennsylvania , is based on a true homicide investigation from south-central Pennsylvania. Steve was appointed to represent the defendant and recounts the entire trial in the book.

Students Present Projects During IB Science Symposium

During this year’s IB Science Symposium on Thursday, October 10, 2019, students presented their projects on the topic of Food for Thought. The projects are a requirement for IB diploma candidates and are completed during junior or senior year.

Celeste Huang-Menders ’22 Two Time TEDx Presenter

Celeste Huang-Menders ’22 and her brother Alexander Huang-Menders are raising awareness of the global refugee crisis. The siblings recently presented Global Refugee Crisis: It’s Now Our Generation’s Time for Action at TEDx Farmingdale on September 7, 2019 and Art and Advocacy: Putting a Face on the Global Refugee Crisis at TEDxNJIT on September 19, 2019.

Nate Willever Pottery on Display in MDA

Nathan (Nate) Willever is proud to showcase his work, Mountain Time, in the Class of 1956 Gallery in the Mollie Dodd Anderson (MDA) Library at George School now through November 14, 2019. There will be a gallery talk and reception on Thursday, November 14 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the MDA Library. The gallery talk will begin at 3:10 p.m.

Sculpture Students Install Art Exhibit at Bucks County Community College

Sculpture students in Amedeo Salamoni’s class gained hands on experience setting up an art installation at the Lower Bucks campus of Bucks County Community College in Bristol on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Students had the opportunity to design the configuration of Amedeo’s Field Grass sculptures.

Parent Visiting Day Planned for October 19

Parent Visiting Day is Saturday, October 19, 2019, and all George School parents are encouraged to attend this information-packed event. One of the program highlights is a glimpse into their child’s daily schedule as parents attend fifteen-minute classes in to morning to meet each of their child’s teachers and learn about their studies. The day begins at 7:30 a.m.

Carter Sio ’76 Selected to Exhibit at Works in Wood 20th Anniversary

Works in Wood is an annual exhibit in Bucks County, which honors the rich cultural heritage of Bucks County woodworking while celebrating the new visions of the county’s contemporary artists. The exhibition runs from Saturday, October 5 to Sunday, November 10, with an opening reception and awards presentation on Saturday, October 5 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Students Participate in Climate Strike Out

More than one hundred George School community members joined the Global Climate Strike, focused on the climate crisis, on Friday, September 20, 2019.  “It is important to show that the health of our earth is prioritized, and to unite people on the issue that threatens all of us, and hopefully call more action to it,” said Phoebe Johnson ’20.
